Credit Union Art Competition

The Credit Union Art Competition 2021 has now come to a close. Judging has taken place in all stages, from Credit Union level, Chapter to the National Final.

Now in its 38th year, the competition continues to capture the imagination of participants and is one of the longest-running competitions of its type. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, over 30,000 entries were received for this year’s competition.

The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Imagine’ which encouraged people to explore their thoughts, hopes and dreams, and portray them on paper or canvass, and they completely delivered as we saw some amazing pieces of art.

We will be broadcasting the National Final Prizegiving Ceremony of the Credit Union Art Competition 2021 on Thursday 10th March at 18.30 live on the ILCU Facebook book page and YouTube channel. The virtual event will be hosted by RTE broadcaster, Marty Whelan, and he’ll take us through all our finalists and their art work and will be interviewing two of our winners.

While the Art Competition ran throughout the country as normal, we firstly must commend the work of credit unions locally who made sure this was possible. Without the work you took on, we wouldn’t be in a position to host this virtual prize-giving ceremony.
